Thursday's show will be Joel’s 11th all-time performance at MSG.
Thursday's show is the “unprecedented” 64th consecutive one by Joel, an MSG Franchise and internationally acclaimed, six-time Grammy-winner.
The 70th birthday show is part of Joel’s residency at The World’s Most Famous Arena, which started in January 2014 with Joel putting on one show per month at MSG.
Joel’s family moved to the Long Island suburb of Hicksville when he was just a year old. He now has two homes on Long Island; one of which he purchased in Centre Island in 2002 for $22 million. The other is located in Sag Harbor.
